“
Every patient deserves to feel heard. My job is to make sure no question goes unanswered and no one feels alone in the process.
I’ve already had several hospital radiologists read my scans. Will Alpine actually see something they missed?
Often, yes. Independent published research finds clinically significant interpretation differences in 15–30% of cases when imaging is re-read by subspecialists. Hospital radiology is generalist-led and throughput-pressured. We do nothing but subspecialty second opinions. Different reader, different focus, different result.
I have imaging going back several years. Can you really read all of it together?
Yes, that is exactly what Alpine Longitudinal is for. Your subspecialist reads your current scan together with every prior study you provide. The report shows you what was present then versus now, what’s progressed, what’s stable, what’s new. Standard hospital settings almost never do this because each scan is paid for and read in isolation.
What if my GP refuses to take the Alpine report seriously?
Rare in practice. Every Alpine report is in the standard professional format physicians receive from hospital radiology: clinical history, findings, impressions, recommendations. Most GPs welcome an independent subspecialist read, especially when it gives them the evidence they need to refer or escalate. You also get a plain-language summary written for you, not for the doctor.
My symptoms have been called “psychosomatic” or “non-specific.” Is a re-read even worth it?
Yes, because imaging findings and symptom causation are two different questions. A subspecialist re-read can identify findings that were missed, under-described, or misclassified. Even if your imaging genuinely shows nothing, having that confirmed by an independent specialist is itself diagnostically valuable, it tells you and your physician where to look next.
How do I know my data is secure?
Your imaging files travel over TLS-encrypted connections to Swiss-based servers and are stored encrypted at rest via Tresorit (zero-knowledge encryption, even Tresorit cannot decrypt them). Only the Swiss-licensed radiologist assigned to your case can access them. Files are never sold, shared with third parties, or used to train AI models. All diagnostic conclusions are 100% from our radiologists, AI is used only for administrative efficiency, never for clinical assessment.
Who actually reads my scan?
A Swiss-licensed subspecialty radiologist matched to your scan type, neuroradiology for brain MRI, musculoskeletal for joint scans, breast imaging for mammograms, oncologic imaging for cancer follow-ups. The team is led by Oxana Smagulova (MEBEKO, Specialist in Radiology, Facharzt für Radiologie, 20+ years, 100,000+ reports read). For Conscientious and Elite packages, two radiologists read independently and deliver a consensus report.
How is this different from going to another hospital?
Three differences. (1) Subspecialty matching, the radiologist reading your knee MRI is an MSK specialist, not a generalist. (2) Independence, we don’t perform surgery, biopsy, or treatment, so we have no incentive to read in any particular direction. (3) Integration, your full imaging history is read together, not in isolation.
How long does the review take, and how much does it cost?
Standard delivery: 72 hours from upload. Priority 24-hour delivery available for +CHF 60 (refunded if we miss the deadline). Prices: Essential CHF 120, Conscientious CHF 192, Longitudinal CHF 240, Elite CHF 360. No referral required.
No delays. No compromises. Just secure, seamless transfer.
